  • This is the infamous immunity shot that is growing the modern wellness industry. Ginger improves blood sugar levels, reduces inflammation, treats indigestion, and strengthens your immune systems. Some vital vitamins and minerals found in the root are iron, magnesium, vitamins B6 and C, and zinc. Ginger also contains a component called ‘gingerol’ which is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

  • Green juice is not everyone’s favorite thing in the world, but this wellness shot is a sweet and spicy swig of tropical freshness. Like ‘Spicy Sunshine,’ this shot can help boost your immune system, however there is so much more to it. The greens in this shot contain vitamins A, C, K, fiber, and prebiotics which is essential for a healthy digestive tract. I believe gut health is just as important as immune health.

  • Java Jolt is definitely a different type of wellness shot. I personally haven’t seen a wellness shot with espresso in it! this delicious experiment was inspired by pre-workout and the infamous ‘5 Shot Energy’ drink. The caffeine in this shot will help you focus in the gym and give you a burst of energy!

  • This one was inspired by my boyfriend. He takes beet root powder capsules before he goes to the gym! The nitrates in the beets will be converted into nitric oxide in our bodies, which are molecules that help relax and widen blood vessels. This essentially means that your veins will stand out more. Besides getting that “gym look”, beets promote healthy blood flow and pressure.

  • Watermelons and cucumbers are high in citrulline, which is a non-essential amino acid that also promotes healthy blood flow and exercise performance. However, I was more focused on the recovery aspect of citrulline. It is proven that citrulline reduces muscle soreness and can stimulate protein synthesis, which is a key role in muscle bulding.

I make these shots with a juicer at home, but juicers can be expensive! Another way you can make these delicious drinks are by blending everything up and straining the pulp with a nut bag or cheese cloth. I hope you guys try out my ‘Sai Shots’ and leave your feedback down below!
